This 190W solar panel kit is the updated successor to the popular 185W model: the same size, but with more power. The kit is complete and immediately ready for 12V systems: you get the Victron 190W monocrystalline solar panel, a Victron MPPT charge controller 75/15, 5 meters of red and 5 meters of black cable with pre-assembled connectors, mounting brackets for roof attachment, and Sikaflex 554 mounting kit — nothing else to buy. You choose the mounting brackets (white, black, or aluminum), whether you want a roof penetration (none, white, or black), and which charge controller version you prefer: Standard, with built-in Bluetooth, or Standard with a separate Bluetooth dongle.
The panel consists of 39 monocrystalline cells with an efficiency of 19.16% and delivers a peak power of 190 Watts at 21.8V/8.71A. The anodized aluminum frame and tempered glass make it resistant to all weather conditions, with an operating temperature of -40°C to +85°C. The included MPPT charge controller regulates up to 15A and works with all common battery types: lead-acid, AGM, gel, and lithium (LiFePO4), so you are not limited to one battery choice.
The white and black mounting brackets are glued watertight to the roof with Sikaflex 554; the panel is then screwed into the brackets, and sometimes the brackets are also additionally screwed into the roof. The cables are already fitted with connectors, so you don't need to solder or cut anything. If you have a camper van or other vehicle with a ribbed roof, choose the aluminum mounting bracket: it is glued and screwed to the rib for extra grip. Thanks to the unchanged dimensions (1485 x 668 x 30mm, 1605 x 790mm including brackets), this panel is a direct replacement for the previous 185W version — existing mounting holes and roof cutouts remain usable.
This solar panel kit is designed for DIY builders of campers (including camper vans), boats, and tiny houses who want off-grid power without hassle: think of a compressor refrigerator, LED lighting, a water pump, or charging a phone and laptop. On an average sunny summer day in the Netherlands, the panel generates approximately 770 to 925Wh, and even with clouds, 200 to 400Wh remains available. If you want to monitor the yield live on the go, choose the charge controller with Bluetooth. The panel is CE-certified and comes with a 5-year product warranty and a 10-year 90% / 25-year 80% power output warranty.
