Informatie over solar panels glass
Why choose a framed glass solar panel?
Glass solar panels with aluminum frames are the most commonly used choice for campers, boats, and caravans with flat or slightly sloped roofs. The frame protects the cells on all sides, significantly extending their lifespan, and creates an air gap beneath the panel. This air gap is crucial: solar panels lose efficiency at high temperatures, and the cooling provided by a frame yields up to 15% more output on hot summer days compared to a glued flexible panel.
Mono- or polycrystalline — what's the difference?
Monocrystalline panels have the highest efficiency per surface area and perform better in diffused light and cloudy conditions — ideal when roof space is limited. Polycrystalline panels are slightly less efficient but offer good value for money in installations where space is not an issue. Both cell types are available in our range, so you can always choose what best suits your situation and budget.
From small to large: the right power for every installation
Our range extends from compact panels for a small addition to an existing installation to powerful panels for a completely self-sufficient system. The smallest panels are ideal as an extra setup on a dinghy, caravan, or alongside an existing system. The 185W is our most popular choice for campers who want a single panel on the roof with maximum output. For larger systems, we also offer higher power — check the product pages for the current offerings.
Easy installation with standard mounting materials
All panels are equipped with MC4 connectors, the industry standard for solar energy installations. They are directly compatible with our charge controllers and mounting materials. The aluminum frames have standard mounting holes, allowing you to easily attach the panels with our mounting spoilers or roof brackets.
