Product informatie
Flexible solar panels are pliable and lightweight, making them ideal for applications where weight is an issue, such as a plastic camper roof, or when the surface is not flat, as can be the case on a boat or yacht. This flexible panel features a rhombus pattern, which ensures even more light falls on the cells, contributing to its high power output. The panels are equipped with a 50-centimeter cable with standard solar connectors.
The latest innovation in flexible solar panels
Shingled flexible solar panels are the latest innovation in flexible solar panels. In this type of solar panel, the solar cells are divided into 6 equal parts and laid over each other like roof tiles. Shingled flexible solar panels are 40% less susceptible to micro-cuts (small cracks in the solar cells) and are 15-30% more efficient when the panel is partially shaded. The image below shows the shingled solar panel on the left and the traditional method on the right.

An ETFE top layer that lasts for years
It is known that flexible solar panels have a shorter lifespan than glass panels. This is because flexible panels use a plastic layer instead of glass to cover the cells, and plastic ages faster than glass. To maximize the lifespan, we opted for an ETFE (ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene copolymer) top layer in the design of these panels. Of all plastics, this material has the longest lifespan with the least aging, ensuring you enjoy your self-generated energy for years to come.
